John served in Vietnam from 1967–1968, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medals. In 1970, John left the Army, completed computer programming and system design and analysis school, and began a 41 year career in the computer service and outsourcing business, retiring after 34 years with the same organization as the company vice president. He's the husband and father of two daughters and the grandfather of two great-grandchildren. John is a member of the American Legion and the Patriot Guard Riders. John joined the board of directors in March of 2020.
