Gary has served as a North Chicago police officer for fifteen years. He has coordinated the police escorts on the Lake County Honor Flight and assisted with guardian training for a number of years. As a police officer, he has participated in numerous community-based events, such as Shop with a Cop and National Night Out, because he enjoys serving the community, and he has received numerous awards, including officer of the year.
